Net metering is a billing mechanism that credits you for the excess solar energy your system produces and sends to the grid. These credits can be used to offset your electricity consumption at night or during low-sunlight hours.
Any residential, commercial, or industrial customer with a grid-connected solar system (1kW to 1MW capacity) can apply for net metering under NEPRA’s regulations. Your system must be installed by an approved vendor like Solar Ventures and meet technical standards.
The approval process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on your utility company and the completeness of your application. Solar Ventures manages the entire process to ensure timely submission, follow-up, and installation of the bi-directional meter.
